Tarot at the Met

The Metropolitan Museum of Art from the air

You have been directed to this page because you are signed up for the Thursday May 14th, 2026, Tarot at the Met event.

If I don’t already have it, I will need your cell phone number so that I can reach you on the day of the event (only if I need to).

We will meet at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York between 1:40 and 1:55 pm.

You will need to buy a ticket to the museum when you arrive – before we meet. Or to save time, you can buy it online before you come:

https://engage.metmuseum.org/admission

We will go up to the room together at 2:00 pm. So you may arrive earlier but don’t be late.

The address of the Museum is 1000 Fifth Avenue.  The main door is at 82nd Street and Fifth Ave., shown here:

We will meet in the main lobby in front of the Egyptian statue circled in the picture. If you come through the front door turn right. I will be standing in front of the statue.

Once we are gathered, I will lead the group upstairs to the print library, where we will view the collection from 2:00 to 4:00 pm.

If you are going to be late, you can go to the print room yourself.  Go to the top of the main stairway (this will be the second floor) turn left, and proceed to the print gallery. The door to the print room is at the far end of the print gallery on the second floor. You must ring the bell to be let in (shown with a red arrow in the photo). Also, you can call me on my cell phone, and I will give you directions: 845 514-6911

Here is a picture of the door to the print room, in the far corner of the print gallery. The arrow is indicating the doorbell.

Once inside, I will give you a packet with my notes on what we will see. You are not allowed to bring a pen into the room.  If you want to add to your notes, you will need a pencil.  You will not be allowed to touch any of the Museum’s cards, but you will be able to get a close look and the museum will provide magnifying glasses.
